I am going to make cute cat-ear ear muffs for your doll using pom poms, paper clips, thin wire or ornament hooks, pearl beads, a Slinky or spring toy, ribbon and glue.
I start by unfolding a paper clip, bend it around a cylinder that is about the same size as the doll’s head. Trim it to fit the doll to make the headband.
For a larger doll, like an 18 inch I cut one ring of the end of a Slinky to make the headband. Glue ribbon on to the end, then tightly wrap it all the way around.
Take thin wire or the ornament hook, bend it to fit the headband, use a little glue to hold it in place. And you may find it helpful, to use a piece of ribbon to prevent it from moving, so it can be wrapped with ribbon, making sure the ends are covered so they don’t scratch the doll.
Glue pom poms up to the ends, then glue beads around the ears to make doll-size cat-ear ear muffs like the real ones sold in stores.
Resize it to fit your doll…
And you’re done!
We want to give a shout out to Hannah Youngpeak, what’s up!
Sophie, have you seen my new ear muffs from Fabulous?
You mean these? Yeah, thanks! They’re super comfy!
